The Laughton and District Ploughing Match 2013

We were very fortunate to be able to hold this year’s ploughing match considering the amount of rain that fell the evening before. But the sun came out and quickly dried up all evidence of the down-pour (except perhaps on the entrance track!). The sun continued to shine for the rest of the day ensuring that plenty of people turned up to view the action, in a beautiful location nestled between the Cuckmere and the Downs. Our thanks, again, go out to the Lewis family for hosting the match.

 

Among the visitors were Park Mead School from Upper Dicker, who thoroughly enjoyed the activities laid on for them in our Education Section. Thanks to all the LDAS helpers who kept them entertained, amused, but above all educated!!!
